«Zusammenleben»
Ralph Goertz mit Ute Mahler

Current information: Joachim Brohm is not able to attend the event.

‹Zusammenleben› brings together photographic positions by Joachim Brohm, Ute Mahler and John Myers from the 1970s and 1980s. At first glance, the exhibition brings different artistic points of view into a dialogue and allows insights into the historical coexistence of people in the FRG, GDR and the United Kingdom.

The exhibition was conceived by the filmmaker and photo curator Ralph Goertz, who heads the Institut für Kunstdokumentation (IKS) in Düsseldorf. On October 25th, he will speak with Joachim Brohm (* 1955), one of the most important representatives of artistic documentary photography in Germany, and Ute Mahler (* 1949), co-founder of the OSTKREUZ photo agency, about their exhibited works in the Kunsthalle Darmstadt.

The event is part of the festival week of this year's 11th Darmstädter Tage der Fotografie from October 23rd to November 1st, 2020. During this time, we’re open Tue-Sun from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and during special events, admission is free.

The event is planned and carried out in accordance with the applicable hygiene and contact restrictions. Please inform yourself about the then applicable conditions of participation.

The talk is in German!
