‹Teilstücke› originated as a master’s thesis project at Goethe University Frankfurt. Sylvia Heidt (*1988 in Karaganda, Kazakhstan) engages with the theme of «love» as an approach to artistic practice here. Love for the material, love for the craft, love for art and life. The fundamental aspect is not the aesthetic expression, but the process of creating art.

Fundamental to the work is the examination of «love» as an access to artistic practice. «Love» for the material, for the craft, and for the creative process are in the foreground. However, the focus is not on aesthetic expression, but on dealing with the objects, as the artist shows in a video work.
