Is it possible to listen with your eyes? Makiko Nishikaze’s visual compositions formulate answers to this question, sometimes with a melodic background, sometimes toneless. Two video works show the artist's intimate glimpses of her immediate surroundings, movements of her hands or approaches to the Berlin city motorway, which she records with a hand-held camera. Nishikaze inscribes herself into the film material through subsequent processing and recomposes it - as she does with her pieces of music.

On the occasion of the opening in the evening, the exhibitions ‹Facing Britain›, ‹Nguyen Xuan Huy› and ‹John Gerrard› can be visited. Learn more about the works and their concepts on a guided tour with photographer Marcel Rauschkolb at 7 and 8 p.m.
