Following her participation in the exhibition “Planet 9” (2017), Franziska Cusminus returns to the Kunsthalle Darmstadt with three new video works. Whereas her previous work focused on the relationship between humans and machines, her new selection reveals an interest in the analogy between microcosm and macrocosm, empathy, and intrinsic versus extrinsic motivation. The room installations invite viewers to follow the artist's sculptural performances, involve their bodies, and present themselves as allegories of life.
